ANAHEIM, Calif. — Max Jones scored the go-ahead goal, Troy Terry had a goal and an assist and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 on Monday night to snap the visitors’ five-game winning streak.

Isac Lundestrom and Jakob Silfverberg also scored, Mason McTavish had three assists and the Ducks won their third straight game. Lukas Dostal made 24 saves after losing his previous five starts.

Tyler Johnson had a power-play goal and an assist, and Andreas Athanasiou scored for the Hawks, who had been on their longest run of sustained success since winning five in a row in January 2020. Petr Mrázek allowed four goals on 33 shots.

Jones put the Ducks back up 3-2 with 17.5 seconds left in the second period, scoring between Mrázek’s legs off a rush.

Terry added a cheeky sharp-angle chip at 8:15 of the third to secure Anaheim’s second three-game winning streak of the season. The Pacific Division’s last-place team also strung together three straight Jan. 24-28.

The Hawks continued to clear out their veteran ranks Monday, trading forward Sam Lafferty and defenseman Jake McCabe to Toronto. A separate transaction Sunday sent defenseman Jack Johnson back to Colorado, where he was part of the Avalanche’s Stanley Cup championship run last season.

Despite those moves and the likelihood of more to come before the trade deadline Friday — notably the expected departure of modern-era franchise icon Patrick Kane — the Hawks started out well when Johnson beat Gibson five-hole on a wrist shot from the left circle 5:35 into the game.

But the Ducks responded with Lundestrom’s fourth goal of the season and Silfverberg’s third power-play tally to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Athanasiou, another Hawks player who potentially could be dealt, tied it at 2 midway through the second.

Hawks F Philipp Kurashev did not play because of a non-COVID-19 illness. … Hawks D Jarred Tinordi returned after missing six games because of a knee injury he sustained Feb. 14 in Montreal. Tinordi was activated off injured reserve earlier Monday.

Blackhawks: At the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.

Ducks: Host the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.
