“Art’s a guy that was just impressive once he got here, so I wasn’t surprised at how he handled the moment,” Bielema said. “I didn’t know how he was going to play (against Nebraska), but I knew the handling of it wouldn’t be an issue. “I did not forget the fact they handed us our one loss last season, and I don’t think anyone has,” said Joseph, a sophomore. “Just like every Big Ten opponent, we know what they are and the capability that they have. To be clear, the Bears instituted brief live-tackling periods in camp, and Montgomery showed his ability to turn nothing into something. During one morning practice in early August, he appeared bottled up in a sea of bodies near his goal line. But then he was suddenly out of the fray and exploding into the open field.
