“I love those guys so much and they’re such close friends — I want them to do whatever’s best for them, and that’s kind of what I did with myself,” Hendricks said Sunday. “I love it in Chicago, love the organization, all the people around it, the coaching staff, and I know things change every year but with the city I couldn’t be any happier.”
“Last year, in the shortened season, it was like a sprint,” Giolito said Saturday. “We played really good baseball. We clinched a spot in the postseason. And it was like, ‘Oh, awesome. We achieved what we were looking for.’ From there, we kind of lost that edge.
“I got up on the ball pretty well,” Quinn said. “I got the corner. Of course, you need time to get there, and coverage had their people locked down and this allowed me an extra second or two to get to the quarterback. With sacks, it’s rushing the coverage. Most of the time, it’s not just one person. I like to thank everyone, at least when I get a sack.”

“I could speak about Dave for hours, what he means to our team, the identity that he has,” center Sam Mustipher said. “I know it’s early in his career, but you see the way he runs, you see the way he plays, the energy, the effort. He really is the embodiment of what it means to be a Chicago Bear. Hopefully things are great with him.”
“The health and well-being of our players is our top priority, and any care provided to them comes from the team’s health care professionals, not the coaching staff,” Fletcher said. “We have no reason to believe any of our players have received improper care.”
Cousins hit Justin Jefferson for a touchdown pass to cap a commanding opening drive by the Vikings (1-3), who took possession 11 more times without scoring or even trying a field goal. The farthest they got was the 26-yard line, where they had one final play to tie the game. Cousins threw on the run into the end zone, where the ball fell incomplete.
And on Monday, when asked about his vaccination status again, he responded, “Back is definitely against the wall, but I’m just going to keep fighting for what I believe. I’m going to keep fighting for what I believe is right. What’s right to one person isn’t right to the other and vice versa.”
Copper, who was named player of the game, finished with 26 points, and Quigley added 21. Azura Stevens had 15 points and 10 rebounds, Parker had 10 points and 10 boards and Vandersloot dished out 13 assists as all five Sky starters played more than 30 minutes each.
