Casey and Jim Bloomer traveled from New Hampshire to watch their son, Conor, a second-year student at Carle Illinois College of Medicine, run in the marathon.

“Yeah, he does a lot of different things for us that we were missing last year, the faceoffs, the battles, he’s so good down low in the offensive zone, there’s not many guys who are better and it just adds a different dimension to our team,” Colliton said. “We have to manage him and try to put him in a position to succeed, keep him fresh as much as we can.”

“In the couple years he was with (the Minnesota Lynx) and the time he had with Dan (Hughes with the San Antonio Stars), I think helped shape the vision he wanted his Chicago Sky team to be,” Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said of Wade. “If you look at the pieces that had been there, like Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley, they had gone through a lot of change and James gave them stability.”
“I think for the most part you have to let go of what’s happened,” Dylan Cease, the scheduled starter for Game 3, said Saturday. “We can’t change what’s happened, and now we’re just focused on doing everything we can to put ourselves in a position to basically execute at a high level and bring out our best the next couple of games.”
The Fighting Irish (5-1) tied it at 29 on Jack Coan’s 4-yard pass to Avery Davis and a two-point conversion completion to Kevin Austin with 2:26 left. After forcing the Hokies to punt, Coan drove them 45 yards in seven plays, and Doerer split the uprights, sparing the Fighting Irish a second straight loss.
“I feel the same way I’ve been feeling throughout the whole year, and, honestly, the same way that I feel before every game,” Robert said. “(Sunday) is probably the most important game of the season for us, but nothing changed. (Sunday) I just have to get playing and feeling the same way and trying to find a way for us to win the game.”

“I know people say, ‘They don’t draw three (or) four million every year.’ But there was a group of about 20,000 that was there almost every night, no matter if they’re winning, losing, good or bad. They were always there. I respect that, and they always respected you if you played the game the right way, whether you had a good night or bad night.
