A man, 32, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. A third person, a 49-year-old man, had been shot in the buttocks and he was taken to Stroger where his condition also was stabilized, police said.
The girl was shot in the hand and she was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, Brown said. A 43-year-old woman, who Brown later identified as the girl’s mother, was shot in the back and she arrived at Roseland Community Hospital in a private vehicle. She had been listed in fair condition, police said.

About 8:30 p.m., a dumpster burned on North Garland Court. As the Chicago Fire Department arrived to extinguish the blaze, a firework went off around the corner. An hour later, another dumpster fire blazed on Garland to the west of the Chicago Cultural Center.
Prince’s attorney said he has a GED and has been a member of the Army National Guard since August 2017. As the long holiday weekend wore on, Chicago police Sunday morning were investigating several shootings overnight, including multiple homicides, separate shootings that left teenagers wounded and a shooting in Gresham that left four men injured, two of them critically.
Just before 7 p.m., a citizen called police after they said a vehicle driving northbound slowed down and bumped the curb, police said. Officers responded to the 4200 block of South Cicero Avenue and found a man in his 20s with three gunshot wounds to the torso.
