Frank Harris, the 18-year-old, has been charged with murder-other forcible felony and aggravated vehicular hijacking/handicapped, according to a Chicago police news release. The 17-year-old, a male, has been charged as a juvenile and his name was not released. He has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted aggravated battery to a person over 60, police said.
Officer Jamie Jawor was accused of driving at speeds of over 100 mph on June 27, 2017, when she and her partner chased Taylor Clark, an off-duty Chicago cop, because, according to the Chicago Police Department at the time, his Jeep looked like a vehicle involved in a carjacking.

“If you didn’t know her, she was a dedicated mother of 4 children (1 girl and 3 boys), a loving daughter, sister, friend, but most importantly, a child of God,” her friend wrote. “She left this earth very unexpectedly and not prepared in any way. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. She will always be loved and missed dearly.”
To boost vaccinations, particularly in the south suburbs, vaccine clinics will spring up at back-to-school events, festivals, in the forest preserves and at other locations, said Dr. Kiran Joshi, senior medical officer and co-lead for the Cook County Department of Public Health. He added there will be more partnerships with community organizations and “trusted messengers” as well as mobile clinics.
Aside from the new dispensary licenses to be awarded later this summer, the state on Thursday announced the first round of 213 licenses for craft growers, infusers and transporters, operations that are seen as easier entry points into the burgeoning industry. Of those licenses, 40 are for craft growers, 32 for infusers and 141 for transporters.
