“I did an interview way back in 2001, and someone asked me, ‘Why did you do this? And what’s your end goal?’ I said to make any LGBT person feel comfortable going to a very masculine sport and not be treated bad,” Gubrud said. “And also I said my end goal was for openly gay players to play, and for other teams to do (an event). Almost every team does it now, and … I’m ecstatic about it.”
And though the weekly death rates in both categories have dropped considerably since peaking at 8 per 100,000 residents in early December, when vaccines had yet to be distributed, death rates of those not fully vaccinated have recently hovered around 1 per 100,000, more than seven times the rate for vaccinated people.
Predatory fish — which build up methylmercury by eating other fish — include: all species of black bass and gar, striped bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, walleye, sauger, saugeye, flathead catfish, muskellunge and northern pike. Larger fish tend to harbor the most methylmercury.
In an Aug. 18 letter to Bethany Lutheran School Principal Erin Dunwell, ISBE Superintendent Carmen Ayala said officials had verified the Naperville private school was not complying with the mask mandate, resulting in ISBE “removing your school’s status as a recognized nonpublic school, effective immediately.”

Some kids might have a disorder of anxiety, and might require treatment. Signs could include triggers during normal developmental activities that most kids love. Denise Huguelet was one of three passengers in one of the vehicles. She sustained life-threatening injuries after being hit by gunfire and later died at a hospital. The two other passengers, a 67-year-old woman and 67-year-old man, both of Homer Glen, were uninjured as well as the driver of the car, a 67-year-old man from Orland Park, according to a news release Wednesday night.
