Former ComEd lobbyist Michael McClain, 73, who is one of Madigan’s closest confidants, is currently awaiting trial on bribery conspiracy charges alleging he quarterbacked the scheme. Also charged in the 50-page indictment were former ComEd CEO Anne Pramaggiore, 62, of Barrington; lobbyist and former ComEd executive John Hooker, 71, of Chicago; and Jay Doherty, 67, a consultant and former head of the City Club of Chicago.

Outside, the man was chased down the street by an unknown person, and then Jefferson, who was wearing a black hat and no shirt, also confronted the man, prosecutors said. Jefferson and the unknown person then allegedly attacked the man, knocking him to the ground. His wallet fell out of his pants and Jefferson took it. They then continued to hit and kick the man, prosecutors said.

“I look at Abraham Lincoln as a moral leader and someone who was able to be honest, principled, a uniter, who also was willing to fight for what’s right,” said Sullivan, of Petersburg, the founder and CEO of Alter Global, a venture capital group associated largely with international technology related investments.

“Honestly, I’ve got to tell you, I don’t feel confident sending my kids back to school. I don’t. And this was a real struggle for us because we have just tried so hard to get both of our kids into a wonderful public school like NTA, and now it looks like we’re going to have to home school them because (CPS is) not giving us a remote option,” said Estrada, who lives in the Canaryville neighborhood.

A meeting to discuss the allegations is held in San Jose, California, where the Hawks were playing the Sharks in the playoffs, according to Vincent and the lawsuit. Officials at the meeting, according to Vincent, included McDonough, MacIsaac, Bowman, Gary and one other Hawks staff member whom Vincent couldn’t recall. Vincent told the Tribune the officials said in the meeting they would handle the matter “from this point on.”
