“He is a smart, ruthless and manipulative gang leader,” Storino told the jury. “He is a person who kills, he robs, he extorts and intimidates others, all in furtherance of his gang the Four Corner Hustlers. And he has done it for over two decades.”
With Tuesday’s change, Chicago’s travel advisory lands at 41 states and one territory under Chicago’s travel advisory. In total, the areas not subject to the recommended COVID-19 mitigation measures for unvaccinated travelers are: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, D.C., and the Virgin Islands. Arkansas might get off the list next week.
There have been 203 shootings on expressways so far this year, far exceeding those in all of 2020, when there were 128 such shootings, according to state police data. And in 2020 there had been more than twice the number of shootings than the 52 expressway shootings in 2019. There were 43 in 2018, according to state police.

The three officers were taken to an area hospital for observation, the notification said, though it did not disclose which hospital. A 19-year-old man, a passenger in the Chrysler, was taken to Stroger Hospital. Details about the injuries the officers and the man suffered were not disclosed in the notification.
