In Vernon Hills, the nine-room house that Santos purchased was built in early 2021 and sold to him by a buyer who had paid $1.06 million for it in July, and then listed it just 19 days later. The house has four bathrooms, an open floor plan, hardwood floors, 10-foot ceilings, a first-floor office, a mud room with built-in lockers, and a kitchen with quartz countertops, top-of-the-line appliances, a marble backsplash and a walk-in pantry.
The Old Orchard mall generated about $35 million in sales taxes for the village in 2021, but due to COVID-19 that number was down from about $50 million in previous years, said village staff. They said the current sales tax in the village is 10.25% for retailers. Restaurants, bars and eateries collected an additional 2.25 percent food and beverage tax, for a total of 12.25 percent.

When the order first went into effect Jan. 7, Lake County was averaging 1,141 new cases a week per 100,000 residents on a rolling average, and climbed to 1,463.21 by the time it was renewed Jan. 24, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Today, Jordan owns an 11-bedroom, 28,000-square-foot, $12.4 million mansion on three acres in Jupiter, Fla. He also paid $3.14 million in 2010 for the two top-floor penthouses in a condominium in downtown Charlotte, N.C., just two blocks from the arena where the NBA team he owns, the Charlotte Bobcats, plays. And, he owns a six-bedroom, 12,310-square-foot mansion in Cornelius, N.C., which he purchased in 2013 for $2.8 million. And although it received no coverage at the time, Jordan sold a five-bedroom, 9,574-square-foot house near the Glenwild Golf Course in Park City, Utah in December 2020 to a buyer from the Seattle area for an undisclosed price after that home had been listed for $7.5 million.
An Ontario, Canada, native, Shaw, 30, was with the Blackhawks from 2011 until 2015 and again from 2019 until retiring in April after team doctors advised him to quit playing due to suffering multiple concussions. He helped the team win Stanley Cup championships in 2013 and 2015.
