Ishbia, 43, whom Forbes recently listed as one of the 20 wealthiest people in Illinois, with a net worth of $3.4 billion, is linked to trusts that are behind the purchase of a portion of the Winnetka site as well as a $36 million mansion in Naples, Florida, that was bought in January. A building permit filed April 1 in Collier County, Florida, in connection with the Naples mansion identifies Ishbia as the owner.

While the economy continues to recover, there were still 9.3 million people out of the U.S. labor force in May. Factors such as lingering virus fears, unemployment benefits and a lack of child care continue to weigh on the labor market and are keeping some adults from seeking work, according to Oren Klachkin, lead U.S. economist at Oxford Economics. While teenagers have benefited in recent months, he doesn’t expect this to be a long-term trend.

Last year, Allstate, based in Northbrook, turned Juneteenth into an annual paid holiday for employees. So did Target, which closed its Minneapolis headquarters for the day and said hourly employees who work in stores and distribution centers that day would be paid time and a half. JPMorgan Chase closed its branches early on June 19 while paying employees for a full day.
Churchill Downs, which currently owns and operates the racetrack, announced this past winter that the property would be up for sale for redevelopment opportunities. And the Bears have now expressed at least preliminary interest in building a stadium and developing the land around it.

The products for adults, which carry the Flyer brand, include an e-scooter priced at $599 and two e-bikes, priced at $1,699 and $1,999. The bikes differ in capacity, room for additional passengers and an optional spare battery. Each e-bike comes with three riding modes: pedal-only, much like a conventional bike; pedal-assist, which provides five different levels of power from the motor; and throttle-only, which doesn’t require any pedaling.

Still, the report showed the the four-week average of claims, which smooths out week-to-week ups and downs, fell by 8,000 last week to 395,000 — the lowest four-week average since the pandemic slammed the economy in March 2020.
