A Chicago native, Lyons, 53, began her TV career as a photographer, live truck operator and producer for KWQC-TV and WHO-TV in Iowa after graduating from Iowa State University. She joined WGN-TV in 1993, rising from executive producer of the morning and midday newscasts to assistant news director in 2008. Lyons became news director in 2014, overseeing a significant expansion in WGN’s daily news programming.

The state’s effort to line up a buyer for the building has been met with various delays, including the pandemic; more than a year ago, the Illinois General Assembly approved a measure calling for the state to sell the property to a developer by April 5, 2022, the Tribune previously reported. That deadline remains in place, though the legislature could extend it.
In Wilmette, Moser and his wife turned a tidy profit on the 5,438-square-foot home, which they purchased in 2018 for $2.5 million. They bought the home from Chicago Cubs chairman and owner Tom Ricketts and his wife, Cecelia, who at that time were trading up to a newly built lakefront mansion with a $10.74 million construction cost, along with an additional $7 million land cost.
