Boy, 12, wounded in shooting in East Chatham neighborhood, Chicago police say

A 12-year-old boy was shot Friday afternoon inside a residence on the South Side in the East Chatham neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 2 p.m., the boy was shot in the right hip at a residence in the 7900 block of South Ingleside Avenue. He was taken in good condition to Comer Children’s Hospital.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
