John P. Ruane, a 78-year-old Elmhurst resident, suffered from numerous medical conditions and had recently been staying at his brother’s home in Arlington Heights, police said. Ruane’s brother discovered on the morning of May 18 that his vehicle and brother were missing, police said, adding that Ruane’s brother contacted the Arlington Heights Police Department to report him missing.
