Lewis (36-18), seeded fourth for softball in Midwest Region I, will play Illinois Springfield (33-22) at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Indianapolis in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament. The championship of the four-team, double-elimination regional will be held Saturday, with the winner advancing to the best-of-three super regionals on May 18-19 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. … Lewis’ Jake Karaba was named pitcher of the week for baseball in the GLVC.
