The lifelong equestrian is one of the top jumping athletes for the U.S. During her junior years she was a dominant force in the equitation ring, winning the 2008 ASPCA Maclay Finals and the 2009 WEF Excellence in Equitation Championship, the Equestrian Federation said. She was also part of the 2008 gold medal squad, according to Reuters.
The Sox are missing starting second baseman Nick Madrigal, who is out for the season after suffering a torn right hamstring June 9. Starting outfielders Eloy Jiménez and Luis Robert and reserve outfielders Adam Engel and Jake Lamb are on the injured list, as are relievers Aaron Bummer and Evan Marshall.

“You start getting out and thinking narratives or contracts, trades or end of the season, losing the division, winning the division — all those things that can creep into your mind — it doesn’t do anything for us to beat the Phillies today,” he said.
Max Lewis, 20, died three days after being shot on the train around 6 p.m. Thursday near the 51st Street Green Line stop. Lewis was shot in the back of the neck while the train was in the 300 block of East 51st Street in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
“I’ve focused on in the offseason about how to take care of myself — the total package,” Rodgers said. “Not just my physical self with workouts but my spiritual self with my own mindful practices, my mental health as well. What’s the best way to take care of that? And that’s what I’ve been doing this offseason. That’s why I’ve taken the time I’ve taken and done the things or not done the things that I’ve done. And I’m very thankful for that time.
“The biggest thing at this level is definitely the mindset,” Rodón said. “Everybody up here is the best in the world, obviously, and if not, they wouldn’t be here. What you bring to the table mentally, your mental toughness, your mental focus, is what will set you apart. I just try to lock in on that.”
The 18-year-old Raducanu, ranked 338th in the world, was playing in her first Grand Slam tournament and second tour-level event. She received a wild-card invitation from the All England Club and won fans all over Britain during her run to the second week at Wimbledon.
“I’m not mad at it … the park is left in disarray. People are disgusting, they left … beer bottles, cases of beer bottles, people’s diapers were left out. It’s just disgusting, and so for people to be there all day, and that’s what the intention is right? … (The price) didn’t bother me,” she said.
“The Black community is taught to be resilient, taught to survive, taught to get out of the way, taught to just go to work and do your very best, taught to be exceptional,” he said. “You have no time to cry, no breaks, you gotta do what you got to do to survive and get out of the way.”
