When I hear the word “hipster,” I think of Chicago, specifically Logan Square, Wicker Park and Pilsen. But after spending a weekend in Indianapolis’ newest neighborhood, the Bottleworks District, I was reminded that hipsters and Indianapolis aren’t mutually exclusive. Since my last visit over 10 years ago, Indianapolis feels recharged with diversity, creativity and an approachable art scene.

“Eligible residents are automatically entered into the lotteries,” the state said. “There are no sign ups, no forms, and no waiting lines. IDPH will continue to check their records before each drawing. Once entered, residents remain eligible in all future drawings, unless they win.”
Mieczyslaw Podraza, 80, of the 8800 block of North Western Avenue, died July 5 after he was found in a pool on the 8900 block of David Place in unincorporated Maine Township near Niles, the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Suzman also announced Wednesday that the foundation would expand its board of trustees, though the number of trustees has not been determined. Currently, only Gates and French Gates are on the board of trustees, after Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett resigned as trustee in June. His departure, Suzman says, signaled to the charitable group that it was time to expand its leadership.
