“Just make sure I have (the intent) the same every single pitch,” he said, “not just saying, ‘Hey, throw this one over,’ or, ‘Hey, I really just need a strike here.’ No, I’m trying to execute this pitch still, regardless of score or situation, get back to that intense focus in a way, and I think everything else will be cleaned up.”
Right-hander Robert Stock struggled with command during his first big-league start. Stock walked six and hit a batter in four innings, with one walk coming with the bases loaded in the fourth to gift the Mets a run. Walks hadn’t been an issue for Stock at Triple-A Iowa, where he tallied four in 19⅔ innings.
The pick, which is top-four protected, could come back to the Bulls if they outperform their odds. The Bulls have a 4.5% chance of landing the No. 1 pick. They will need just as much luck to land in the top four, as their odds of drafting at No. 4 are 20.3%.

The Wisconsin city’s territory has just over 1,200 employees and 700 city routes, compared with Chicago’s over 4,300 employees and 2,100 routes. Prater had been Chicago postmaster since 2018.
That’s a heavy metaphor to decipher, but if Hahn is the designated juicer, he has a chance to squeeze the life out of the Cleveland Indians, the Sox’s only real pursuer in the American League Central. Acquiring someone such as Miami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte or another available slugger at the trade deadline would be as good a way as any to show Sox fans he means business.

Gun control issues have always been contentious, reflecting divergent views on firearms between the heavily-populated Chicago area, where crime is high, and downstate rural areas where guns are embraced for sport, hunting and protection.
