State health officials Thursday reported 3,048 new confirmed and probable cases of the coronavirus, the first time daily cases have topped 3,000 since May 7. As of Wednesday, the seven-day average of COVID-19 patients in hospitals across Illinois topped 1,000 for the first time since early June.
The surveillance footage shows Wilder attempting to run away when Armstrong and Wilder began shooting, but was hit before he ran. He was transported to Lurie Children’s Hospital. “It won’t be a watch-out or anything, but there’ll likely be periods where we have scattered showers and storms moving across the area,” said Ogorek, adding there is a limited thunderstorm risk Thursday night and throughout the weekend for parts of the Illinois near shore waters of Lake Michigan.
West Nile virus is transmitted through the bite of certain mosquitoes, which typically contract the disease by feeding on infected birds, according to the county health department. Illness onset may occur three to 15 days after being bitten, and common symptoms in humans include fever, nausea, headache and muscle aches.
“I don’t know, honestly,” he said. “Just sleeping, good night’s sleep, right? I think just talking with the different guys, talking with the staff and talking with family also, just seeing what’s good for everyone and thinking things through. It just adds up and it’s exciting. I don’t think it was one thing that made everything change.”
Crundwell, 68, was originally scheduled to be released Oct. 20, 2029, according to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. But she was released early from the Federal Correctional Institute in Pekin, Illinois, to a Chicago residential reentry management field office, also known as a halfway house.

After earning a silver in 2014 at Sochi as part of the U.S. four-man short track team, he’ll get at least a silver in baseball. The other Americans with summer and winter medals are Eddie Eagen (boxing in 1920, bobsled in 1932) and Lauryn Williams (track and field in 2004 and 2012, bobsled in 2014).
“We’re all still learning in this process and things change,” Nagy said. “We are not back to 2019 where things were normal. … On the front end, we have to learn what the rules are per the league of fully vaccinated versus non-vaccinated and how that works. We’re all kind of learning, but I think our guys have been great so far. I really do. They are following all the rules and they are doing what they are supposed to do and they really have not talked about it too much. But with what happened the other day they are probably all saying, ‘OK, man, this is real, this is what we have to do.’”
