In a hearing Monday morning in Cook County Circuit Court, an attorney for the city, Michael Warner, reiterated that it wants to extend the restraining order against Catanzara, which is due to expire at midnight Monday night, and expand it to other FOP officials, who Warner said have been speaking out instead of Catanzara as a way of “getting around the order.”
Inner City Entertainment received a grant from the Chicago Community Trust’s initiative We Rise Together. The money will transform a vacant building into a dining and entertainment experience with a seven-screen, dine-in cinema, Creole-themed restaurant, an eight-lane bowling and billiards center, and rooftop event space for up to 200 guests. Downstate, Chester, Illinois, suffered damage after storms ripped across the border between Missouri and Illinois. A possible tornado touched down in St. Mary, Missouri, before traveling across the Mississippi River and into Chester. Damage was mostly confined to power lines and downed trees in Chester, The Associated Press reported. A Three Springs Lodge nursing home’s roof was ripped off, but all the residents were safe.
