Coach Billy Donovan said Dosunmu cleared a series of concussion tests with the Bulls on Thursday, affording the guard time to practice in a five-on-five scrimmage with teammates the morning of the game. The Bulls received clearance from the league shortly before tipoff at the United Center, allowing Dosunmu to play.
“My children come home from school, and they start by washing their hands and changing their clothes, but they still can’t hold their baby sister,” said Vega, whose multigenerational household includes her 5-month-old daughter, Jesslyn, who is too young for the vaccine, and Vega’s mother, 61, who has diabetes and is in poor health.

“We were notified that it was underway. We hadn’t heard about the allegations before that,” Whisler said. “We were asked not to in any way tamper, so we didn’t talk to players, etc. That investigation ran for as long as they wanted, we participated fully and never received (results). I still don’t know the full background of what was in those allegations and we didn’t receive recommendations from that.”
The final witness for the prosecution on Thursday, IRS Agent Haydee Gonzalez, testified that Thompson should not have claimed tens of thousands of dollars in mortgage-interest deductions in his tax returns because he’d never made payments on $219,000 in debt he had at Washington Federal Bank for Savings, which was shut down by federal regulators in December 2017.
“We have to work long-term on how we address this teacher shortage, how we attract and recruit and retain (teachers),” state Sen. Robert Martwick, a Chicago Democrat and one of the bill’s sponsors, said in an interview. “But in the short-term, we’ve got to do something, now, to get teachers into the classroom.”
