The leak was eventually fixed and water pressure returned, but many residents said the leak was just one in a long line of problems with their water service over the years. A Tribune report found that town officials had been alerted to leaks in recent years but struggled to identify and fix them, leading to a ballooning water bill for the town.
The infrastructure law will result in investments in the nation’s roads, bridges, mass transit, rail, airports, broadband, electric grid, water systems and other much needed infrastructure. It directs the U.S. Department of Transportation to attempt to award more than $37 billion in federal contracts to small, disadvantaged business contractors.

“You really, really got to be able to stay down,” he said. “That’s a habit we have struggled with and we’ve got to get better at. It’s more of an instinctive thing. I think it’s all the guys trying to be aggressive, trying to contest but you’ve got to understand where the ball is, what kind of position we’re in, what kind of position the offensive player is in.”
