ATLANTA – A sold out crowd was tickled pink at State Farm Arena as the Atlanta Dream faced off against the WNBA defending champion, Las Vegas Aces. The first-ever Pink-out collaboration with Barbie featured Angel Reese’s debut Barbie doll and her Barbie Pink Signature Reebok shoes.
Even though the Dream came into the contest with a five-game winning streak and a star-studded crowd, the Aces’ championship mettle proved to be too much for Atlanta. Jackie Young’s triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists powered Vegas past Atlanta 108-89.
However, as the Atlanta Dream remain sixth in the playoff standings, they continue to grow their fanbase. Monaleo hit the court for the halftime show, performing her hits, “Everything Pinkuh” and “Putting Ya Down.”
Also in attendance were Bunna B, Flo Milli, Mariah the Scientist, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Saucy Santana, Ty Young, Dess Dior and Chaylyn, and Aniya Harvey! Atlanta Braves centerfielder Michael Harris II, the NBA’s most famous sixth man, Lou Williams, Devin Vassell of the San Antonio Spurs, were court side as well.
