During the media Q&A, Toyota executives and engineers covered key updates about the 2026 RAV4 lineup:
Plug-in Hybrid (formerly “Prime”)
Now simply called “Plug-in Hybrid” to standardize Toyota’s electrified naming.
Allocated at 20% of production volume, with 50-state availability.
EV-only range: up to 50 miles (52 miles on Limited trim, 48–49 miles on others).
Price difference (“delta”) between Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid expected to remain consistent, around $4,000–$5,000.
GR Sport Tires
Standard: summer performance tires.
Optional: all-season tires at no additional cost.
Technology
Dual wireless chargers are exclusive to the Limited trim.
12.9-inch multimedia display + 12.3-inch digital cluster highlighted.
Suspension & Chassis Differences
Core models: standard setup.
Woodland: all-terrain tires, slightly raised ride height (+0.4 inch), suspension tuned accordingly.
GR Sport: exclusive GR tuning, firmer, more rigid for performance feel—handled by Toyota’s elite “Sugo” engineering team.
Chassis improvements: strengthened suspension mounting points, reinforced A-pillars, stiffer rear hatch structure, all boosting ride quality, NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), and battery accommodation.
