Two men, ages 42 and 33, were shot before midnight Monday, and when the youngest victim tried to drive himself to the hospital, he crashed and struck a vehicle in traffic, injuring two people, Chicago police said.
The men were in the 7000 block of King Drive when they were shot multiple times in the body. The older man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The younger man also was shot multiple times. He attempted to drive himself to the hospital but struck a vehicle in the 5500 block of South Wentworth Avenue, police said.
That younger man also was taken to the same hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle the gunshot victim hit was occupied by a man and a woman who suffered minor injuries. Both were listed in good condition at a hospital, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
