They also changed some CTA hiring practices, which President Dorval Carter said could help address challenges experienced nationwide in recruiting workers. Moving forward, the CTA will be able to directly hire full-time bus operators, rather than pulling full-time workers only from an existing pool of part-time operators, and hire weekend part-time operators as needed.
