A man was sitting inside his vehicle in a parking lot when two people shot him Monday at around 4:27 p.m., police said.
The 27-year-old was transported from Mariano’s in the 2000 block of Chicago Avenue to Stroger Hospital in grave condition by the Chicago Fire Department, spokesperson Larry Langford said. The man was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.

The man was approached by the two people who drove up in an unknown vehicle, exited and fired shots at him, police said. Area Three detectives are investigating.
