“2025 Volkswagen Taos: Big Upgrades, Small SUV—Should You Buy It?”
Volkswagen’s 2025 Taos brings major updates to its entry-level SUV, making it a strong contender in the crowded compact SUV market. The Taos may be the right fit if you’re a baby boomer looking for a vehicle with comfort, style, and value.

Sleeker Design
The Taos gets a fresh, bold look for 2025. Updated LED projector headlights and an optional light bar on the grille add a modern touch. New colors like Monterey Blue and Bright Moss Green let you stand out, while new wheel designs across trims give a customized feel. At 175.9 inches long, it’s compact yet spacious, offering easy maneuverability and ample room for passengers and cargo.

Interior Comforts
Inside, the Taos features a redesigned dash with a semi-floating 8-inch infotainment display, standard on all trims. Higher trims boast premium materials, a 10-color ambient lighting system, and available ventilated seats. You’ll enjoy a roomy 99.5 cubic feet of passenger space and up to 65.9 cubic feet of cargo capacity (FWD models). Standard conveniences like push-button start and automatic headlights add to its appeal.

Powertrain & Efficiency
The updated 1.5-liter turbocharged engine now delivers 174 horsepower, paired with either an 8-speed automatic (FWD) or a 4Motion AWD system for better traction. FWD models achieve an impressive 31 mpg combined, while AWD models offer 28 mpg combined, balancing power and efficiency.

Technology
The 2025 Taos ensures you stay connected and entertained. Features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and fast USB-C charging ports. SEL trims even add built-in navigation with live traffic updates. Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit Pro provides a sleek, customizable digital instrument cluster.

Safety First
The IQ.DRIVE suite comes standard, offering advanced safety features like lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency assist. For peace of mind, the Taos includes a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty and two years of free maintenance.

Pricing
Starting at $24,995 for the S FWD and $26,695 for the AWD version, the Taos offers premium features without breaking the bank. The top-tier SEL trim adds luxury touches like leather seating and a panoramic sunroof.

The Verdict
With its enhanced styling, upgraded tech, and improved performance, the 2025 Volkswagen Taos is a smart choice for buyers seeking a compact SUV with big value. It’s practical for daily driving and capable enough for weekend adventures.
