Two women were robbed at knife-point on a CTA Red Line train in the Loop early Monday, according to Chicago police.
Police were called around 2:15 a.m. to the first block of South State Street to investigate the attack and robbery. The women, ages 21 and 22, had been riding the train when two young men approached them and one took out a knife.

One of the men then took a purse from the 21-year-old woman while the other man approached the 22-year-old with the knife. After a struggle, he cut her on the right hand.
The men then ran away from the train. Both women were in good condition and the Chicago Fire Department treated them at the Monroe Red Line stop, as both women refused to go to the hospital.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning, and detectives continue to investigate.
In an unrelated attack during the weekend, two men struggled on a Red Line train in the South Loop early Saturday and one of the two suffered stab wounds while the other ran away and has not been arrested, police said. The Monday morning robbery also follows an unrelated shooting on the Red Line in June, which left a 23-year-old man seriously injured.
