Two Chicago firefighters were injured Wednesday morning after a fire broke out at a two-story building under construction in the Lincoln Square neighborhood, fire officials said.
The fire broke out about 1 a.m. on the first floor of a building at 2171 W. Wilson Ave. Fire officials said the fire was struck out in 30 minutes, but two firefighters were injured.
Both were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where one was treated for a shoulder injury, and the other for a hand laceration. Both were listed in good condition.
The Chicago Building Department was called to the scene, fire officials said.
