A 15-year-old girl was killed inside a residence in the Marquette Park neighborhood Tuesday evening, police said.
The girl was on the third floor of a residence in the 2400 block of West Marquette Road when she was shot in the head around 6:50 p.m., the Chicago Police Department said in a media notification. She was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:26 p.m., according to preliminary information from the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police said Tuesday night they were questioning a person of interest in connection to the shooting, but no updates had been provided Wednesday morning.
