Officers responded to call of a person shot Tuesday night and found several wounded, including a 15-year-old boy in the Lawndale neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 8 p.m, police were called to the 1500 block of South Trumbull Avenue and found a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. A 27-year-old woman was shot to the leg, and a 38-year-old man was shot twice to the back. A boy, 15, suffered a wound to the arm.
The victims were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where the 25-year-old was pronounced dead, the 38-year-old was listed in serious condition, and the woman and the boy were listed in good condition, police said.
As of Wednesday morning, the 25-year-old man had yet to be identified.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
