“Thankfully Jordan is recovering well after being attacked by an individual he did not see coming at him,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said in a statement. “We were made aware of the incident immediately. We are grateful that friends who were with Jordan at the time kept the incident from escalating. His health is our No. 1 concern.”

The State Department’s warning, which followed the CDC alert, was more blunt. “Do not travel to Japan due to COVID-19,” it said in the announcement, which raised the department’s travel alert from Level 3 (Reconsider travel) to Level 4 (Do not travel). The previous alert was issued April 21.
The judges scoring her, however, were not so impressed. Despite the move’s difficulty, they gave it a provisional scoring value of 6.6, close to what Biles’ other vaults have received. That limited the points available for performing it successfully, a point that a frustrated Biles suggested was unfair to her.
Or the Bulls could seek to bring these veterans back and operate over the cap, which would limit their ability to make major signings outside of the mid-level exception (approximately $9.5 million, which they used to sign Garrett Temple last year). They would still be able to move Markkanen as part of a sign-and-trade if they found a willing team. If they don’t need to clear cap room for a major free-agent signing, this seems likely to be their best route, even if it’s underwhelming to bring back most of the same group that produced such a disappointing finish.

He also doubles as a country singer known as “Cowboy Joe” and once was a featured performer at Gilley’s in Houston, where his reviews were considerably better than the ones he has received from players, manager and fans at those 51 parks.
“Pretty awesome,” Joc Pederson said Friday of his first Cubs-Cards experience. “You always come to St. Louis, and they have a great fan base, they’re super respectful to the game. There was a lot of people out there, so it was good to be out there in front of a crowd. Cubs fans showed up for sure. It wasn’t sold out but probably at the max, so it really felt like it was sold out. That was a good atmosphere. Super cool.”
