A police search, including the use of dogs, ensued. Around 8 a.m., police say they developed information that Storm might be in the Fox River Grove area, and had been spotted along Ski Hill Road. A Fox River Grove officer saw Storm running in the 900 block of the road, officers gave chase and took him into custody.

“I walked around the clubhouse (Tuesday) night after the game and no one was giving me the Heisman,” La Russa said to a reporter, referring to the stiff arm of the Heisman trophy. “So I’m not sure where you’re coming from … But I think the team agrees, and we started it in spring training, this is how we play. Shelton was named in a multi-count indictment in December 2014 along with Elgin, Elgin’s son, Steven Hunter, and Alex Wheeler, alleging the four committed conspiracy to defraud; wire fraud; conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud; honest service wire fraud; and conspiracy to commit extortion.
Champaign officers were equipped with body cameras in 2017, and those cameras are activated when an officer responds to service calls or is engaged in any law enforcement-related encounter, according to the department’s website. The department didn’t immediately reply to Associated Press requests for further information about the shootout, including whether the officers’ body cameras captured it.

Bernard Barry, of the 2200 block of South Kildare Avenue in Lawndale, was arrested on his block Monday after a 42-year-old man was shot in the 300 block of North California Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, police said. Barry appeared Wednesday before Cook County Judge Arthur Willis for a bond hearing broadcast on YouTube.
