It’s still unclear why some coronavirus survivors don’t seem to get better weeks or even months after infection. Now scientists and physicians are trying to understand why many of these patients seem to feel better after getting vaccinated, improvements that ranges from a mild decline in symptoms to a life-changing return to their pre-COVID health.

“If we get another one, I have things that I want to say about him,” La Russa said. “But I’m not going to say them tonight. Mostly this is such a celebration of our ballclub, doing great to get ahead and coming back and what (reliever Garrett) Crochet did. I’ll say something when the next one comes, hopefully sooner rather than later. I just think this is a game to celebrate for our team.”
