Sebastian Taylor, of the 7200 block of South Morgan Street, died at 2:42 a.m. Monday at Comer Children’s Hospital, where he had been a patient for a little less than 24 hours, since the crash at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s office and Chicago police.
After that, however, things get considerably more difficult with matches against the Philadelphia Union (4-2-3, 15 points), Atlanta United (2-1-5, 11 points) and Orlando City SC (4-1-3, 15 points). Philadelphia, who already have won at Soldier Field this season, and Orlando were playoff teams in 2020, and the Union won the Supporters’ Shield last season for having the best regular-season record.
The radiothon will start with Parkins and Acho working alongside Dan Bernstein at 9 a.m. (Bernstein’s regular co-host, Leila Rahimi, has previously scheduled time off). Then Parkins will keep going with Laurence Holmes at noon, regular co-host Matt Spiegel at 2 p.m., Mark Grote at 6 p.m., Les Grobstein overnight and wrap up with the morning team of David Haugh and Mike Mulligan at 5 a.m.
“Nothing (is) really a big difference, you know, just different type of schemes, play-calling wise,” Jackson said. “You know coach Vic (and Pagano), they’re both great coaches, let me start with that. They have a different approach to the game, coach Vic was more of a disguise point, you know have me roaming free, being free, things like that. Coach Chuck would have me try and do things like that early in the year as well and you know it’s just different with schemes, that’s about it.”
“This industry, which is cruelly ironic, is on its knees. And we need a seat at the table. We never got one,” said Alyssa Tushman, co-owner of Burn Fitness, which operates two gyms in Rochester Hills and Clawson and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. A third gym in Livonia closed its doors for good. She said revenue and membership are down 60% across the industry, and called for aid in addition to what has been included in federal and state relief packages.
