But two of those, Rizzo and Bryant, were out of the starting lineup, one day before the trade deadline. Ross said the day off was “earmarked” for Rizzo, who hadn’t had a break since the All-Star break. Ross decided to also rest Bryant, based on the “length of the game” Wednesday and “issues with his legs.”
Samantha Trampush had never been to the Lollapalooza music festival before, but this year was different. She and her five friends, some donning face sparkles, all in their early 20s, decided to buy tickets this year. On the first day the sales were available, the squad agreed to snag their tickets. They’d been waiting outside the entrance 20 minutes before opening and are most excited to see the performances of Olivia O’Brien and Miley Cyrus.

By 8:30 a.m., John Schoen, a ComEd spokesman, said crews had gotten to about half the calls, with power already restored to some 20,000 customers. The main damage from the storm system, most of which hit north of the Wisconsin border, was downed tree limbs and power lines, according to meteorologists.
“I haven’t heard that it’s done, so I’m pretty careful talking about somebody else’s player other than I know the kind of year he’s having. Yesterday, while we waited for a night game, we watched the Cleveland game against St. Louis and he had a good game (going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBIs).
After the crash, a group of people approached the vehicle, and “you basically had a swarm of people attack the car and were beating and pulling on the two victims … punching them, trying to pull them out of the car,” Brendan Deenihan, who oversees the detective division for Chicago police has said.
The 16-year-old, shot in the shoulder, was initially identified as a victim by a bystander of the North Austin shooting, along with a 42-year-old man who was shot in the leg. But after investigating, detectives determined that he was one of the people who shot the older man, said Karie James, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department.
