Although police did not identify him by name, only title, the current 46th Ward Alderman is James Cappleman and his ward includes parts of Uptown and Lakeview including Montrose Beach. That alderman was “struck with a blunt object,” police said, “during a disturbance.”
Ruben Campuzano, 47, of the 500 block of Harrison Street, has been charged with felony counts of aggravated reckless driving, failure to report an injury accident and driving while license suspended in connection with the Sept. 13 crash at Route 25 and Gilberts Street.
“I can’t think of a more challenging first two years as a manager than what he’s had on his plate, obviously, between last year’s (pandemic season) and the changes that have happened this year as well,” Hoerner said. “If there is learning by experience, he definitely has gotten every experience so far.
“(It was) just making sure that we focus on little things,” cornerback Kindle Vildor said. “The stuff that we got beat on, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, this person was just better or stuff like that.’ It was little, small fundamental things that we didn’t make sure we took care of. So we pretty much buckled in on that this whole week to get ready for Sunday.”
Plants may be resistant to one disease or pest but not another. The label may specify. For example, hybrid tomato plant labels have codes that indicate disease resistance: V for verticillium wilt, F for fusarium wilt, T for tobacco mosaic virus, A for Alternaria leaf spot, N for nematodes, St for gray leaf spot. A tomato cultivar, or cultivated variety, labeled VFN is resistant to some of these problems, but not all.
Counseling is a great idea, especially for him. If he wants to enter therapy in order to figure out how and why he sabotaged the relationship with you, then let him do so and perhaps at some point in the future, he will be inspired to try to prove to you that he has changed. I hope that by that point, you will have moved on.
“We haven’t clinched yet, so everyone knows there’s a lot at stake here,” Sox starter Lance Lynn said. “We’ve got to play good baseball down the stretch. We’re in a good, comfortable lead (in the division), but it would be nice to clinch here soon so we can line things up the way we need to at the end.
“It was really cool,” Steele said. “I really enjoyed hitting my whole entire life, really loved it growing up, high school and stuff. Getting a hit in the big leagues was a thing I wanted to accomplish. If they get rid of the DH next year, I can always say I’ve got a big-league hit, so I was really excited.”
