Barrett Callaghan, a 25-year-old from Orland Park, was driving the Explorer, troopers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:30 a.m., according to information from the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The other driver also was pronounced dead, but the medical examiner’s office had not released his name or age as of Monday morning.
“There’s enough factors left that are going to impact who gets the ball, what the roster looks like, all that stuff,” he said. “Right now, if he gave us a real good game today like the last time he faced (the Tigers), that’s important to note.”
“Indiana American Water performs continuous real-time monitoring at our Ogden Dunes treatment facility, and although we have seen no impact on the raw water parameters we are monitoring for at this location, the treatment plant will remain offline until such time as additional data and water testing results confirm there is no threat to the company’s source water at this location,” he said.

A 17-year-old boy was among three people who were all shot at least once in their right leg. The teen was taken to Stroger in good condition, police said. A man, 24, also was reported to be in good condition at Stroger and a 39-year-old man was in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
“Even last year, Duncs was here and Seabs was around. This year, without those two guys who are such good players, but also their voice carries a lot of weight in the locker room. You’d wake up and be excited to see Seabrook at the rink, just to hear what he had to say. His stupid little jokes all the time. Definitely miss that.
The Cubs don’t feature much postseason experience on their 26-man roster. That group is limited to Willson Contreras, Ian Happ, Kyle Hendricks, Zach Davies, Heuer, Austin Romine, David Bote and Jason Heyward. Davies and Romine are free agents after the season. Collectively, this roster needs to learn how to win together, along with whomever the organization brings in during the offseason.
