As a result, the city was able to reduce the number of vehicles towed by 17% compared with 2020 and 22% compared with 2022.

Lawrence Ligas, 62, of Chicago, was arrested on Dec. 1, 2021, after he was accused of being part of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., according to a federal complaint. Arlington listed nine off-track betting sites on its webpage this fall, at the track in Arlington Heights, and in Aurora, Chicago, Green Oaks, Hodgkins, Hoffman Estates, McHenry, Rockford and Villa Park. Its application for next year is for only five locations, which were not specified at the hearing.
