Through a land trust, Gourlay and his wife paid $8 million in 2016 for the 15-room, 7,018-square-foot mansion on Longwood Avenue. Built in 2007 by Tara Homes, the mansion is on a bluff overlooking the lake and has seven full bathrooms, four half bathrooms, three fireplaces, two kitchens, an elevator serving all floors, and a four-car attached garage. Outside on the 0.96-acre property are a private beach and custom-designed limestone terraces.

Just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, Aurora police received reports of a man down in the 400 block of Clark Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police officials said in a press release Saturday.
“Medical information strongly indicates that this variant is significantly more contagious but possibly less severe than prior variants, particularly for people who are fully vaccinated and have received a booster shot,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in another memo sent to clubs. “Our experience with the omicron variant is fully consistent with this expectation – while more players and staff are testing positive, roughly two- thirds of those individuals are asymptomatic, most of the remaining individuals have only mild symptoms, and the virus appears to clear positive individuals more rapidly than was true with the delta or earlier variants. In many respects, omicron appears to be a very different illness from the one that we first confronted in the spring of 2020.”

The Nets, for what it’s worth, have played and won with half their roster in the health and safety protocols. Irving is the ninth Nets player to enter the protocols. Kevin Durant entered on Saturday, as well, and James Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, Bruce Brown, DeAndre’ Bembry, James Johnson and Jevon Carter have also been out for COVID testing.
Ned Smith, who used to teach at Northwestern University, was diagnosed with brain cancer in December 2018. His wife, Erin Smith, 40, said they eventually heard about another family dealing with the same diagnosis, the Agnews, and “ironically” Ned and Mark already knew of each other. The Hlavaceks happened to live down the street from the Smith family. The Smiths also have four children: sons Finn, 14, and Beckett, 12, and daughters Eliza, 9, and Cecily, 6.
