“I used to be a paperboy for the Chicago Daily News, and I remember delivering newspapers here, thinking, my gosh, someday it would sure be nice to have a house like this. Initially, it was out of my price range, but it came down and we negotiated, and I ended up getting it,” he said. “I’ve made a couple of minor changes. I did some tile work in the entryway, and in one of the rooms I’m replacing the carpeting, but I want to save the ambience that it holds. It’s a landmark, and I want to keep it that way. The four casinos took in a total of $92.74 million in revenues in December compared to $90.03 million in November and $68.09 million in December 2020, before Hard Rock Northern Indiana replaced the two struggling Majestic Star Casinos in Gary, according to the monthly revenue report issued Wednesday by the Indiana Gaming Commission.
