“You live for those moments, honestly,” DeRozan said. “I get up for those moments. I love them, since I was a kid, just having that imagination, hitting big shots in a dark room. You kind of feed into that when 20,00 fans are out there watching.”
“This is really for everybody — show us your skill set, show us what you can do, and then we’ll fit you into the pieces we need to fit you into,” Eberflus said. “Sure, you’ve got to run basic plays, but we’ve got to be able to see, for example at that position, can you cover tight ends? Can you cover backs out of the backfield? Are you efficient playing half or quarters or playing in the middle of the field? He’s done all those things, but we want to see his skill set now.”
One positive, Campbell said, is that the Carey family, which runs Hawthorne, cares about the racing industry in Illinois. That is in contrast, he said, to Churchill Downs Inc., which closed Arlington after announcing a preliminary deal to sell the site to the Chicago Bears for a potential new football stadium.

It is too late to start seeds of cool-season annuals (larkspur, snapdragon, English daisy, ranunculus, pansy, Iceland poppy, forget-me-not), which can be planted outside in the garden by the second week in April. Iceland poppies are more sensitive to cold temperatures, so it is better to plant them outside in the third week of April most years. This may require starting seeds up to 14 weeks ahead to have blooming plants ready for outdoor planting. This group of plants is more difficult for home success, but give it a try next year.

“I said the other day, points are hard to come by in this tournament,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. “Today was no different. You’re going to have to win some other way. You just have to tough it out. You have to rebound the ball better, play defense better, get to the loose balls, make the free throws.
Pasin said in a YouTube video posted earlier this week that after police closed the investigation, she emailed the school in December detailing the allegations. While she got a response within a few days, she said she was unhappy with the lawyer the school chose to investigate. She later agreed to an interview, but the school “ghosted” her for two months until last week, she said. At that point she was no longer willing to sit for an interview, and she posted the video as an “absolute last resort,” she said.
Engstler, the tough-as-nails transfer from Syracuse, helped Louisville keep Boston from getting too comfortable in the paint while Olivia Cochran helped with the muscle. Physical play can come with a price, though, and with 4.2 seconds left in the third quarter Boston drew Engstler’s fourth foul on a putback layup and stretched the lead to 57-48 with the and-one free throw.
