Winnetka Fire Department officials were at the scene of Winnetka Beach where a teen was reported missing after going into Lake Michigan.
Around 2 a.m., officials were called to the scene on Sheridan Road where a teen went missing after going into the lake.
Monday, the National Weather Service issued a beach hazard warning of waves up to 9 feet and dangerous currents. The warnings were due to expire Tuesday night, weather officials said.
