A 14-year-old boy was found shot in chest at the rear entrance of a residence Monday night in the West Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 9 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 6600 block of South Marshfield Avenue and found a boy shot in the chest. He was taken in serious condition to Comer Children’s Hospital, police said.
A witness at the scene told police that three males wearing masks fled the scene on foot.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
