An investigation revealed the Nissan was attempting to make a left turn. The driver of the Nissan was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The Mazda occupied by two men were both taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center where one of them was pronounced dead. A third vehicle involved in the crash contained two women who suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to UChicago Medicine, and listed in fair condition, police said.

The driver of the fourth vehicle involved in the crash suffered minor injuries after striking vehicles at 83rd Street in the intersection. He was taken to the Little Company of Mary Hospital and listed in good condition.

As of Thursday morning no citations had been issued and detectives were investigating.
