2. Carmel 24-8 (2)

Ashley Schlabowske scored a career-high 22 points in a win against Woodstock North in a Class 3A regional semifinal. Up next: Vernon Hills in a sectional semifinal.

3. Lake Zurich 25-7 (4)

Layne Nordstrom scored a career-high 16 points in a win against Stevenson in a 4A regional final. Up next: Fremd in a sectional semifinal.

4. Deerfield 26-5 (3)

Aubrey Galvan scored 18 points in a win against Grayslake North in a 3A regional final. Up next: Lake Forest in a sectional semifinal.

5. Lake Forest 22-10 (5)

Rachel Kaus had 16 points and 15 rebounds in a win against Grayslake Central in a 3A regional final.

6. Vernon Hills (7)

Grace Koepke scored 21 points against St. Viator to lead the Cougars to their first regional title since 2015.

7. Stevenson 21-12 (6)

Nisha Musunuri is a player to watch for the next two years.

8. Grayslake Central 19-12 (8)

Madison Hoffmann made big strides this season to put herself on the radar of Division I programs.

9. Grayslake North 20-12 (10)

Peyton Gerdes passed the 2,000-point mark for her career in the loss to Deerfield and also finished with more than 1,000 career rebounds.

10. Antioch 16-12 (NR)

Heidi Rathmann is another player to watch — for the next three years.

Sophomore guard Nikki Kerstein scored 47 points in two games at the Class 3A Crystal Lake South Regional, including 25 points in an 87-34 win against Grayslake North in the final on Friday.
