National Weather Service officials were expecting southwest winds to gust up to 40 mph Saturday continuing as long as Monday into Monday night.
Temperatures were expected to remain over freezing the next few days except for Monday night when a high of 27 degrees was expected, officials said.

River ice in the area should begin to slowly melt making a risk for ice jam flooding.
Current temperatures at Midway Airport registered at 16 degrees with a windchill of negative 9.
