The body of a 48-year-old man was found in Lake Michigan Sunday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
The man was identified as John Puza Jr., of Gary, Indiana, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. About 12:15 p.m., officers responded to a call to assist a marine unit with a body found in the water along the first block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive, police said.

Detectives are investigating, police said.
Puza’s cause and manner of death have not yet been determined, according to the medical examiner’s office.
