Traffic was completely stopped Tuesday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 80 as fire crews worked to put out a truck that caught fire.
At about 12:45 p.m., black smoke could be seen off South 80th Avenue crossing over I-80 as crews worked to put out the blaze.

Illinois State Police District 5 troopers responded to the call, according to a news release from the agency. All lanes were shut down at 12:45 p.m., state police said, but by 2:15 p.m. traffic was reopening to at least one lane.
The Tinley Park Fire Department did not immediately respond to calls for comment. Fire officials from Oak Forest and Frankfort were also seen responding to the fire.
